Rain

“Rain” is a very light neutral grey. It’s neither too warm, too cold, too blue, violet, green, etc. I went to great lengths to create a true light grey. As you’ll see in the photos below, it adapts to a variety of spaces and styles creating a soothing atmosphere.

“Rain” creates an oasis of calm in this contemporary bedroom.

This client used “Rain” on all the walls throughout this Baton Rouge home renovated by Amelia Fine Construction. All ceilings are “Silvery Blue”, “White Opal” trim and kitchen cabinets .

Titanium

“Titanium” is a well-balanced grey. Neither too warm or too cool. It’s a new color I created from a sample Spokane painter Mike Richter sent me. I liked it so much, I added it to my new color palette. Since it’s new, I only have photos from one project where I specified it for siding on a bungalow in the Garden District of Baton Rouge. However, designers Brian Rowe and Caroline Alberstadt recently used it on a project so I’m hoping for some photos of it soon!

We used PPG Paints’ new Break-Through Interior/Exterior Gloss on both door and porch floor. It’s as durable as an alkyd and dries in 20 minutes.

Dove

As mentioned in my previous blog post on the color “Smoke”, “Dove” is a darker version of the same color. To be precise, “Dove” is 75% of the “Driftwood” formula and “Smoke” is 50% of the “Driftwood” formula. We often create lighter versions of a color and can even do that with samples.

“Dove” walls in this apartment shows its brown leanings. That’s the thing about full spectrum paints. They are very color reflective so they look different in different settings, constantly changing with the light.
