Avalon Mist

October 9, 2019

“Avalon Mist” was named after the legendary island of King Arthur lore because it’s a most mysterious color. It’s one of my complex neutrals that can’t really be defined in a color category. It’s so chameleon-like it constantly changes with the light and when you put two samples of “Avalon Mist” side by side, they look like two different colors! Unfortunately, I only have one photo of it so if you’d like to see a hand-painted sample, visit my Online Store where you can order free hand-painted cuttings, larger hand-painted samples and sample jars.

There are only eight colors left for me to blog about and then I’ll put together a post of all the custom and retired colors that are currently available in addition to the 70 stock colors in my main color palette that I’ve been posting about. I’ll continue to update the “Custom and Retired Colors” post as I add colors. You can order samples of any of these colors by going to the bottom of the Color drop down menu to “Custom (enter name in notes)” and then in the notes section, enter the name or names of the custom and/or retired colors you’d like to order. The photo below shows you the drop down menu.

Example of how to order custom and retired colors.

Next color up: “Putty”
